Pan European Recording was created 13 years ago by Arthur Peschaud. Since then, the music label has stood out thanks to its artistic choices, its passion and its radicalness.
As it is linked to the contemporary art world and to different alternative cultures, Pan European Recording didn’t find strength in a particular kind of music but in the unrestrained romantism of some artists making the sacrifice of their life for their art. The label’s work is a work on temporality, a work on being modern without being the modernity’s slave. Pan European Recording’s aim is to make some discs, to enable artists to create, and to leave its mark on history.

LISA : «Muscle Memory Of Missing You » is a song about this neurological phenomenon and how it applies to the broken record that is my heart.
Recorded in Paris, with the same knights that are my band on almost every song of the album & produced by Guillaume Léglise. The chorus had been haunting me for years at night, and finally became a song. I think its final shape has been influenced by the French musician Kim Giani’s music.
Axelle Von Dorpp and I have a long-distance-artistic-relationship ever since she contacted me online during the first COVID-lockdown in 2020. She offered to make me a video with archive-images for the song « Your Words, Our World ».
The video she made for « Muscle Memory Of Missing You » is a sort of travelogue that we passed on to each other. Like a correspondence book for the two of us, where we collected our memories, song lyrics, ghosts, small pieces of us evoking this song that addresses memory and the longing for someone to replace the beat of our hearts.
We once again worked together remotely, I filmed my son on the beach, sent her images of my late dog, she entrusted her magical friends to shoot me while she was capturing images of a fabulous dancer as a ghostly stand-in for me by her side.
lisa li-lund is back ! After spending her teenage year collaborating with such luminaries as Jeffrey Lewis, The Cairo Gang whilst touring the world, she’s back with her first band project in 5 years.
A first single ‘Janet’ has been released yesterday accompanied with a full production video clip.
This title was made after years without touching an instrument, writing or even listening to music. This period of doubt that artists must face to advance their art offers us a welcome remedy to move forward in a world plagued by doubt.
Here is Parker Lewis, the 3rd extract from the 1st album of the duo Fantomes.
We accompanied the release with a great music video (director: Ludovic Azémar & motion design: Eulst)
